<p>With us, you can rent children&rsquo;s equipment tailored to your needs&mdash;whether it&rsquo;s for everyday use or special occasions. We offer a wide range of high-quality gear, so you don&rsquo;t have to fill your garage with things that are only used once a year. As a mom myself, I know how much bulky equipment you need when you have a baby or young children at home&mdash;but also how little of it actually gets used. So why own it, when you can rent instead?</p>
<p>In addition, we create personalized products like name signs, birth frames, and small gifts&mdash;perfect as presents or to make a special occasion even more unique.</p>
<p>Minilei is run by me, Julie, with lots of help and support from my family. I&rsquo;m a mom and a creative soul with a passion for both reuse and creativity. We&rsquo;re based in Sola and ship products all over Norway. At the moment, rentals are only available in Rogaland, but if you&rsquo;re interested in a long-term rental elsewhere in Norway, feel free to get in touch&mdash;we might be able to find a solution!</p>

<h1>Privacy Policy</h1>
<p><strong>Minilei AS wants you, as a user, to feel confident that we safeguard your privacy and handle all personal data in accordance with applicable legislation.</strong></p>
<h2>Personal Data</h2>
<p>To use the online booking service, you must provide your name, address, phone number, and email. To register an order, we also need to store information about the rental period and the type of equipment reserved/ordered. The service has an age limit of 18 years, and you must therefore also provide your year of birth. When using the service, your order history will be stored. This personal data is used to deliver the service to you and is retained as long as you are registered as a user with us.<br />The personal data we have registered is accessible and can be modified on your account page, which you can access after logging into the online booking service. You may also contact us to request the removal of your personal data or to be deregistered from our systems. If you do so, you will no longer be able to use the service unless you register again.</p>
<h2>Personal Data Shared with Third Parties</h2>
<p>Minilei AS will not sell, trade, or disclose your personal data to third parties. The online booking system is operated using a system provided by Minilei AS.</p>
<h2>Payment Information</h2>
<p>When you place an order, your card information is stored by our payment provider DIBS to manage your order. DIBS stores this information securely and is PCI-certified. This allows us to handle order changes, release of reservations such as deposits, refunds, additional charges incurred by the user (e.g., for late returns, damage, etc.), and helps reduce misuse and loss.<br />Transaction data related to your order is stored, but not your card details. Transaction data will be retained as long as you are registered as a user of the service, in accordance with the section on personal data.</p>
<h2>Use of Collected Information</h2>
<p>The personal data collected for these purposes includes both the information you provide (name, email address, etc.) and data collected through your use of the service, such as the equipment you rent, location data, and technical information about your device and internet connection. Personal data may be supplemented with available information from third-party providers.</p>
<h2>Cookies</h2>
<p>When you visit our service, we use various technologies to recognize you as a user and collect data. For example, we use cookies to remember rental dates and equipment. Cookies simplify the use of the service and help provide relevant information when you visit our website. They are also used to temporarily store data such as available rental dates, prices, and similar information.<br />Through server logs and other tools, we may record information about your device and connection to our service, including operating system, browser version, IP address, cookies, and unique identification files. This information is used in anonymous and aggregated statistics but may also be linked to your user account. This helps us tailor the display of our service to the device you are using.</p>

<h1>Terms of Service</h1>
<p>Minilei AS, Solstr&aring;levegen 29, 4051 Sola, org. no. 835 882 322 MVA, operates a rental service where businesses and consumers can rent equipment for shared use by ordering online and picking up or returning at a designated address, or by home delivery within 20 km from the pick-up/return address. The service also offers subscription products with a fixed monthly price, and the subscription period is renewed until the customer cancels the subscription themselves. See section 11 for more information.</p>
<h2>1. General</h2>
<p>These terms apply to the rental and sale of goods and services from www.minilei.no to businesses and consumers. The terms, together with your order, constitute the complete agreement for the purchase.</p>
<h2>2. Definition of Parties</h2>
<p>The lessor or seller is: Minilei AS, hereinafter referred to as &ldquo;we&rdquo;, &ldquo;us&rdquo;, &ldquo;the lessor&rdquo;, or &ldquo;Minilei&rdquo;. The lessee is: The person specified as the lessee or buyer in the order, hereinafter referred to as &ldquo;the lessee&rdquo;, &ldquo;the customer&rdquo;, &ldquo;you&rdquo;, or &ldquo;your&rdquo;. &ldquo;Rental objects&rdquo; refers to equipment and all other items rented out on minilei.no. &ldquo;Delivery method/service points&rdquo; refers to pick-up or return at the chosen address or home delivery.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">3. Payment and Pricing</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Payment is made online using Visa or Mastercard through our payment provider DIBS, which complies with the highest security standards. The rental agreement is considered binding once payment is completed at the time of booking.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Minilei AS does not require a deposit for rentals. However, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee after the rental period if the equipment:</p>
<ul style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">
<li>is not returned,</li>
<li>is returned damaged due to misuse, negligence, or intentional actions,</li>
<li>or is returned excessively dirty beyond what is considered normal use.</li>
</ul>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">This fee will cover costs related to repairs, cleaning, replacement, or other necessary follow-up. In such cases, the renter will be contacted and informed before any charges are made.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">The total cost of rental or purchase will be clearly displayed before checkout and includes all applicable fees. In the event of significant pricing errors on our website, Minilei AS reserves the right to modify, cancel, or reject orders&mdash;even after an order confirmation has been sent. Customers will be informed of such errors within a reasonable timeframe.</p>
<h2>4. Condition of Rental Objects</h2>
<p>Minilei AS undertakes to deliver rental objects of high quality and in operational condition. Minilei AS has routines for checking and maintaining rental objects before and after each rental. You are responsible for all damage or loss to the equipment during the rental period. Exemption from liability may occur if the damage or loss is due to technical faults or defects. The lessee is therefore obliged to check the rental object before use and contact Minilei AS if the rental object is not in the expected condition.</p>
<h2>5. Damages</h2>
<p>All damages, technical faults, or accidents that occur during the rental period must be reported to Minilei AS immediately. We will do our best to assist the lessee. Damages must be reported to support@minilei.no without delay. This also applies in the event of theft. If the damage occurs due to misuse, intent, or negligence, Minilei AS may use the reserved deposit and, if necessary, charge additional outstanding amounts to cover the costs of repair, service, or replacement of the equipment. This also applies if the equipment is returned in a neglected state or is excessively dirty. We always strive to provide the best advice and tips for using the rental object, but we are not responsible for the execution or for direct or indirect damages or losses resulting from the use of the rental object, delays, or faults with the rental object.</p>
<h2>6. Use of Rental Objects</h2>
<p>Use of rental equipment is entirely at the renter&rsquo;s own risk. The renter must be over 18 years old and is fully responsible for the equipment from pickup until return. Minilei AS is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, loss, or other consequences arising from the use, misuse, or improper handling of the equipment. The renter must follow all manufacturer instructions, user manuals, and safety guidelines provided with the equipment or made available on Minilei AS&rsquo;s website. Failure to follow these instructions does not relieve the renter of responsibility, and any damage, loss, or excessive soiling may be charged to the renter.</p>
<h2>7 Accessories</h2>
<p>Accessories must generally be purchased or rented separately when ordering equipment and selected based on the task the lessee wishes to perform. The website also describes what is included in the delivery of the rental object. For accessories that are sold and not used, section 12 (Right of Withdrawal) applies.</p>
<h2>8 Lessee&rsquo;s Rights and Obligations</h2>
<p>The lessee must be at least 18 years old and is required to provide accurate customer details when creating a user account in order to place orders and rent on minilei.no. Minilei AS sends messages to the specified email, address, and phone number, and such messages are considered received and valid upon dispatch.</p>
<p>The user account is personal, and if you suspect that others have access to your account, you must notify Minilei AS immediately. Minilei AS reserves the right to freely reject, terminate, or suspend the user account without notice or liability, including if the terms are deemed violated.</p>
<p>These rental terms must be accepted before placing an order on the website.</p>
<p>The lessee must return the rental object before the agreed date and time and using the agreed delivery method. The lessee is expected to stay informed about the normal opening hours of the service point.</p>
<p>The lessee or cardholder authorizes Minilei AS to issue credit card charges for rental objects not returned, excessively dirty, or damaged. This authorization also includes the right to charge the payment card for additional rental/compensation claims if the rental object is returned after the agreed rental period or returned with defects.</p>
<p>A delay in returning the equipment beyond one hour from the agreed rental time entitles the lessor to one extra day's rent plus a surcharge, currently NOK 300, to cover additional costs incurred by Minilei AS due to late return. If the rental object is not returned after one day, Minilei AS is entitled to claim the agreed daily rate as long as the equipment is in use and not returned by the lessee.</p>
<h2>9 Order Changes</h2>
<p>To change an order, Minilei AS must be contacted. Changes are not valid until confirmed in writing by us. This ensures that the rental objects are actually available. Unless otherwise agreed and confirmed, the rental object must be returned at the agreed time. Extension of the rental period can be made before the rental period starts and/or during the rental period by changing the start or end date.</p>
<p>Changes and cancellations that affect the availability of rental objects for other users may be subject to a change fee to cover rebooking costs. The change fee is currently NOK 300. All costs will be disclosed to the lessee before the order is placed or changed.</p>
<h2>10 Delivery and Return</h2>
<p>Delivery and return take place in the manner, at the location, and at the time specified in the order confirmation. You will also find this information under your account page. We are responsible for the products until they are received by you, meaning when you have taken possession of the products. To collect the rental object, you must present your booking reference. The name provided in the reservation must match the name on the ID card at pickup.</p>
<p>If delivery of the rental objects is delayed, we will inform you as soon as we are aware, along with information about when delivery may occur, or if the product(s) are sold out or unavailable.</p>
<p>You are responsible for the product until it is returned to us or our service points.</p>
<p>We inspect the condition and functionality of the rental objects and verify that all parts are present when they arrive at our warehouse. Upon complete and contract-compliant return, the deposit reservation on the payment card will be released.</p>
<h2>11 Subscription</h2>
<p>Both private individuals and businesses may enter into subscription agreements, but the person registered is the legal party and responsible for the agreement.</p>
<p>Membership is automatically renewed until canceled by the lessee. It can be canceled on the account page by stopping the subscription, which must be done 14 days before the new rental period begins. The membership will then run until the end of the current period and be terminated thereafter.</p>
<h2>12 Right of Withdrawal on Purchases</h2>
<p>The Right of Withdrawal Act gives you the right to cancel your purchases. The right applies to purchased goods and not to rental objects or products that are custom-made for the customer. <p>To exercise the right of withdrawal, the product must be returned to us in approximately the same quantity and condition as when received. If you test, use, or examine the product (e.g., open packaging) in a way that goes beyond what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics, and functionality of the product, and this reduces its value, we may deduct an amount corresponding to the reduction in value from the refund.</p>
<p>The product must be returned in its original packaging and within a reasonable time, along with the withdrawal form. The easiest way is to return the product in the same box as when returning the rental object. This incurs no cost to you. Fill out the withdrawal form and place it in the box. If you choose to return it by mail or other methods, you are responsible for the product until it reaches us. You must provide suitable packaging and contact us before sending.</p>
<h2>13 Intellectual Property Rights</h2>
<p>The content and service are protected by copyright law. Images stored on the site are used with permission from the rights holders. Videos on YouTube are links to third-party services outside the control of Minilei AS.</p>
<h2>14 Privacy</h2>
<p>Minilei AS processes your personal data in a secure data registry to fulfill its obligations and safeguard its rights under the rental agreement. The personal data processed includes name, address, phone number, email address, and order history. This history will remain stored for accounting and other obligations. All stored information is available under &ldquo;My Account.&rdquo; The lessee has the right to have their personal data removed from the lessor&rsquo;s systems, which can be done by contacting Minilei.no directly.</p>
<p>Your payment card will be stored as long as you have an active order. Storage of the payment card is handled by our payment provider DIBS, who stores the information securely. Storing the card makes future purchases easier. You can delete your card under your account. Minilei AS does not store any credit card details itself.</p>
<p>Minilei AS uses cookies, like most other online stores. Cookies store data in your browser so the website can recognize you from page to page and visit to visit. This allows us to identify you and provide correct pricing and easier login. We also collect usage information to improve the quality of the service.</p>

<h2>15 Governing Law</h2>
<p>These terms are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with Norwegian law. In the event of a dispute between the parties, the case shall be handled by S&oslash;r-Rogaland District Court, unless otherwise required by mandatory legislation. Consumers have the right to have the case heard in their local court in accordance with the Norwegian Dispute Act &sect; 4-5.</p>
<h2>16 Changes</h2>
<p>Minilei AS reserves the right to modify or replace these terms at any time. The current terms are always available at minilei.no. If Minilei AS considers the changes to be significant in relation to the lessee&rsquo;s rights or obligations, the changes will be made available on minilei.no 30 days before they take effect.</p>
<p>By using the service after the updated terms have been made available on minilei.no, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not wish to accept the new terms, you may not use Minilei AS.</p>
